AUSTRIA BUNTMETALL History

1989: In December 1989 there was 100% privatisation through a management buyout by takeover of AMAG shares by 9 leading managers led by Eng. Gerhard Eschner. The companies Enzesfeld-Caro Metallwerke AG, buntmetall amstetten GesmbH, Metallwerk Möllersdorf Handelsgesellschaft mbH and CAROBRONZE GMBH are merged to form the new holding company "AUSTRIA BUNTMETALL".
1990: Profit-sharing plan for the AUSTRIA BUNTMETALL group in the form of share certificates.
1990-1999: Continuous expansion of the production plants located in Amstetten and Enzesfeld . The annual production is increased from 35,000 tons (1990) to 60,000 tons (1999) . Certification according to EN ISO 9001 is completed.
Throughout Europe, the sales and service network was continuously strengthened.
1999: Wieland Werke AG becomes the majority shareholder of the AUSTRIA BUNTMETALL group with a share of 75.1% .
2000: The AUSTRIA BUNTMETALL GmbH is re-formed as a public limited company (PLC).
today: Wieland Werke AG has a share of 100 per cent. AUSTRIA BUNTMETALL GmbH employs more than 830 staff throughout Europe. As part of the Wieland group with over 6,000 employees worldwide, AUSTRIA BUNTMETALL is an important partner within the Buntmetall group.
